Weekend Off

I had this weekend off so Jonathan planned a little getaway to San Diego. We left Saturday afternoon, and checked into our hotel. We stayed in a hotel right in the middle of downtown. The hotel used to be an old bank so it was cool how they incorporated all the old stuff into the new purpose of the building. All of the rooms used to be offices, and there was a conference room where the safety deposit boxes are. It was very cool. On Sunday after sleeping in we headed out for the day. We had some old Sea World tickets that someone had given us awhile back so it only cost us $10 for parking to get into the park. Which two hours later when we had seen all the sea animals we wanted to see and were ready to go - we were more than happy that we hadn't paid $50 a piece to get in. We didn't wait in line for one ride or watch one show. We just ate lunch and walked through all the animal exhibits. Favorites: Penguins, Sharks, and Walruses. (Note: These are not the animal pictured)
Since we had planned on being gone for the rest of the day we headed over to the mall to walk around and see a movie. It was so nice to have nothing to do, and make up our own agenda as we went along.

I love my job...but I also love weekends off.
