The Kind of Day I Have Had
When I left the office I wasn't really sure where my car was parked...which then lead me to wonder if I ate lunch or not. Rest assured...I did...with my friend Riley at Togo's.
Things You Should Know About Me
When Sports Illustrated comes to our house it comes to my name, well actually it comes to Ryanne Dearden. Because of that I receive a weekly SI Newsletter email.
It's 9 in the afternoon...
I saw a midnight showing of an opening movie last night...it was my second in two weeks. Luckily last night the LOST finale kept me awake, but the hardest part of being adventorous is finding things to do until it is time to see the movie...oh yeah and getting up the next morning.
In case you were wondering what the phone call said...
"The Island needs you...You have to go back before it's too late"

If you wanted me to buy a gift...
You could walk into Starbucks and buy me the new plastic cup that they are selling that looks like their cold cups. I freakin' love it!
I couldn't find a picture of a Starbucks' cold cup...so you will just have to use your imagination.

A Small Token of My Affection
Allison is in London right now and I knew she would be seeing my friend, Josh, so I wanted to be sure to send something to him just to say "Hi!"
So I wrote a small note and attached it to a plastic triceratops.
Today I got an email from Josh with just a picture attached.
Because who doesn't want a triceratops to remind them of their friend?

Weekend in Review
Griff asked me to write the Weekend in Review this week. It was definitely a new way to look at the weekend, but a little nerve racking at the same time.

Schnack
In the vending machines at church they sell snacks from 55 cents to one dollar. 55 cents! Isn't that so annoying? Why 55 and not 50? Who thinks "I am going to get a snack I will take some quarters and some nickels"?
So annoying. All I wanted was some Cool Ranch Doritos.

Cruising Altitude
In my office all day long there has been this noise. It sounds like the low buzzing you hear when you are riding in an airplane. Maybe that is why I have been falling asleep, and craving ginger ale.

NO CELL PHONES and NO CAMERAS
Got up to LA about 10:45 am to stand in line for American Idol. Around 4:30 pm we received our tickets to enter the beautiful Nokia Theatre. Our seats were totally worth the wait. Orchestra section in row AA seat 205...about 27 rows back over Randy's right shoulder. After standing - in the sun- for almost 6 hours we were all a little tired. So we cheered when we could, but mostly just sat and took it all in. In exactly one hour we were exiting and heading back to our car. Stopped for a short dinner at the Original Pantry Cafe ( "We never close. We're never without a customer."), and then back on the freeway to head home.
I don't have any proof because we weren't allowed to take our cameras or cell phones in, but it was incredible and I am exhausted.

Who doesn't love a five day weekend?
Friday: Spent all day getting ready for Alanna's Wedding. It was beautiful. Danced a lot, and took a lot of pictures. You can see pictures here, here, here, and here. Here is my fav out of all that I have seen:
Saturday: Slept in...didn't go to work :). Returned Jonathan's tux at the mall and enjoyed the free AC. Watched Ironman, went to church, and ate Lucille's.
Sunday: Breakfast with Connie and Lance. Hung out in our non-free AC with some friends. Ate some Cherry on Top. Played Mario Kart Wii. Grilled up some delicious food.
Monday: Caught up on some Greek (Do you love it? If you don't know what I am talking about you should watch it). Cleaned up the house. Walked around Ikea. Walked around The District, bought some shirts, watched a digital presentation of the new Narnia movie.
Tuesday: My amazingly generous boss gave me the day off to go to LA to see the American Idol Finale: Part One. Look for me in the crowd.

DON'T give me your tears gypsy woman...
I wrote a blog about a gypsy putting a hex on me awhile back, and I got this comment on the blog on Saturday.
Listen, I am a gypsy and that is very rude and offensive. I am a normal guy just like everyone else but My family is all gypsy. we dont do curses and hexes, and my mom is very religious. thought you might want to know that before you leave a comment like that again. Thanks ~Tony Machwano
My husband said I had to take the blog down. So I am, but I wanted to say this:
Dear Tony,
I am really sorry if I offended you. How did you even find my blog or THAT blog that I wrote in January? Anyway, I have never actually heard of someone calling himself all gypsy. I guess I really do have a lot to learn about gypsies. And I am going to be really honest...when Blogger asked me, "Do you really want to erase Give me your tears gypsy woman...?" I hesitated for a long time.

I Won a Prize!
My friend Amanda has a blog for women married to Youth Pastors. She was running a contest to see how women encourage their spouses. Even though my husband is the one married to a youth pastor. I decided to let her know I encourage my husband. Today I got this email:
You are one of the lucky winners! The guys loved your response of finding out what makes HIM happy and what HE wants. So important in encouraging your spouse.
And I WON! $20 to Target...which you know me is like the BEST prize ever. (I think I am going to add it to my savings to by Wii Fit)

I give you full permission to make fun of me...
I am kind of really excited about the NEW 90210 coming to the CW's Fall 08 line-up. I am pretty sure Full House's Aunt Becky is in that line-up. And the star (4th from left) is from a Canadian teen show called Degrassi that I am total nerd for and...love love love. Also, today the rumor on the street is Jennie Garth will most definetly be appearing in her old zip code stomping ground. See? I am WAY to excited for a show that will most likely flop.
Why am I such a sucker for CW shows?

For the readers...
Dear Wonderful People That Read My Blog,
I really think I have gotten better at this blogging thing in the last few months. Especially the consistency factor. You know what you haven't gotten better at? Commenting. Most of you are just takers. Unless I really only have three people read my blog each week (but if Google Analyticals and Sitemeter are right I have about three plus 57 to 72 more).
A little love every once in awhile won't hurt you. Unless of course it is just that my blogs aren't commentable, and if that is the case...boo. Maybe I scared you away with all those Pepperocini blogs. I promise I am done with those, and the blog title won't be changing to "Just call me Pepperocini Lover" (although...funny). I might quit.
Your friend,
Ryanne

I'd Like to Give the World A Coke...
I am drinking a free glass bottle of Coke that I received at the end of my Coca Cola Factory tour that we did on Monday. Josh Griffin keeps telling me "This is the freshest coke you will ever drink." Which he is probably right, because it was bottled in the Coke Factory on May 4th. Pretty fresh.
This is my second time taking the tour, except this time it was in a totally different building. Of course the best part is the tasting room where they have all the coke products from all over the world. There was a delicious one from somewhere in Africa that tasted like a Big Stick. But out of everything my absolute favorite was Cherry Coke. Delish!

Southern Food
In less than 24 hours in Atlanta I have eaten:
Waffle House
The Varsity
Cracker Barrel
Ate about 10,000 calories.
Worked out tonight for 30 minutes with Jamie and Katie.
Burned about 160 calories.

Welcome to Atlanta...
#1 reason Atlanta is a great city...only Coke products are served. Delicious!
Just ate at The Varsity (blogging from my Sidekick so you will have to look it up on your own) - it is pretty much the greasiest and most fried food that you have ever experienced. What'll have?

The Bachelor(ette) Life
Jonathan has been at Jared's bachelor party all weekend. I have done a lot of things this weekend that I normally don't do. Cleaned my house, did all the laundry, grocery shopped and last night I ate a pint of Ben And Jerry's Half Baked frozen yogurt for dinner. It is very comparable to the normal caloric intake that I usaually have for dinner...but for some reason it tasted so much better in my super clean house watching Gossip Girl.
I do want to make sure you know that although my taste of the single life was nice, I was more than excited when my husband came home last night.
