One of my favorite things about High School Ministry events is often the thing that most people probably dread...cleaning up.
I love cleaning up an event with my team. They know how to have fun. They are relaxed and have a great attitude. They are ready to do whatever anyone asks (or in other words whatever I tell them to do). They know an event doesn't end until we are done cleaning up not just when people leave.
Tonight as we were cleaning up the Small Group Leader Connection everyone was singing Frank Sinatra, there were a few dancing like they were in a musical, several took the challenge of drinking the left over chocolate from the chocolate fountain, Jamie washed dishes with a great attitude and I walked into a room where Zack was vacuuming and singing to himself.
I heart my team!

Amazing...
Today Katie put this pen on my desk. It looks like a normal clicking Sharpie that I use all the time.

Staff Meeting
We had a staff meeting today and it was a tad long. I took this photo of my boss, Josh Griffin, drawing pictures of what I belive are Star Wars characters (I wouldn't know because I have never seen the movies - sorry Griff I know that burns) and to show what he does when we should be paying attention.
He is just modeling good leadership for the rest of our team!
New Addition to the Witt Household...IT IS NOT A BABY
I haven't told you about the new iMac we got. It is so pretty, and way big. I love it. I love it way more than Jonathan thought I would.
Here are some pictures I took of it...

I Heart Getting Mail!
I check the mailbox everyday except for Sunday! I LOVE getting mail. (That could be why I subscribe to so many magazines). Just knowing that there might be something besides a bill or junk mail in our mailbox makes me excited. I especially love coming around the corner and having a package sitting on our front porch. Even when I know something is on its way to our house...I am still so tickled when it gets there. And if you know me at all you know I love getting AND opening gifts. When you open a box that UPS has brought it is kind of like opening a present!
Yesterday I came home to a Zappos box on my doorstep! My new Paul Frank Purse has arrived! I just ordered it on Monday so I was so surprised that I had gotten it so fast! I still have one lunch to not-eat-out before I have officially earned it so I couldn't put all my stuff in it quite yet. But it is super cute!
Send me some mail...you will make my whole week and I promise I will write back!

77 Degrees
Today was a beautiful day!
When I got back from lunch I suggested that we find a spot outside to work...and to my surprise everyone was totally up to the idea.
Danny, Jamie, Katie, Allison and I grabbed our laptops and power cords and headed to the Terrace Cafe. Some chose the shade and some chose the sun...both were wonderful! Later on Zack, Jason and Josh joined us - they had a meeting about the weekend.
I am in love with the idea...I may suggest it more often. I am thinking I may even come up by myself.
These are a few of my favorite things...
Today I ate Daphne's for the second day in a row, and I loved it. I was thinking about restaurants that I eat at often, and restaurants that I could eat at every day.

Mondate: Be Kind Rewind
Lean Cuisine Lunches = Free Stuff
A couple of weeks ago I showed a purse I really wanted to Jonathan, and asked what I would have to do to get it. He said eat 8 lunches at home or in the office - not out! So I was up for the challenge. I think I thought it would be easier than it really is, because at first I was marking lunches off with no problem, but then my schedule started getting fuller and my purse got further and further away. I still have one more lunch until I can get my purse (however...I checked online and they only had three left so Jonathan let me purchase it!)
Next item I am working on is a Hurley tote to use as a computer bag. You think I might love bags a little too much?

The 2008 Oscars...or is it 2007...I am so confused
I am generally not an Oscar person, but we have a little two year in the making of a tradition with the Rosenbaums. We gather in their apartment fill out our ballots, watch the red carpet, eat food and watch the show beginning to end. This year I made it point to see most of the movies that were nominated especially for best picture. Thanks to Mondates it was a little easier to make this happen...I got to four of the five nominees, coming up short on There Will Be Blood.
I didn't too bad this year - 12 correct out of the 24 categories.
The best addition this year was that everyone made or brought Oscar themed food.
We contributed with:
Norbits in a blanket (Who would of thought Norbit would have been up for a nomination)
Johnny Dipp
Best Hair and Make-up-cakes
Michael Caketon (In celebration of Jamie's birthday!)
You can see what everyone else brought and some photos of our contributions over at Mary's Blog.

Yum Yum Eat It Up...Think I'm In Love
Jonathan and I recently visited The Counter in Irvine. A friend told us about a build your own burger place and we had to check it out.
We took the five step process, and built our own burgers. It was awesome...but now I need to go back and try some new combos.
Something you should know about me: I love cheeses and sauces! The Counter has 10 cheese options and 17 sauce options. I was in heaven! They also have sweet potato fries - so delicious! It is definitely worth the splurge of calories and a couple extra dollars.

The new moleskin?
Just read about the &Pencil Notebook over at one of my new fave blogs Design Crush. So genius! How did I not think of this?
Well I kind of did by putting a little add-on in my moleskin...but even then I stole the idea from a magazine.

Jonathan's Toothbrush Game
Every morning after he brushes his teeth in the shower Jonathan plays a game where he tries to throw the toothbrush from where he is in the shower into the toothbrush holder by the sink. The other day I tricked him and made him think that he made it. I felt so bad, because he was so excited. The he REALLY made it the next day. He was a like a little kid yelling for me to come see. I took a picture for proof.
His is the orange toothbrush.

Some Reasons Why I Love My Husband: Number Five
He buys gifts he knows I will love!
The other day after watching Allison walking around with her ipod shuffle and reading her post I declared that I think I wanted a shuffle. To which Jonathan quickly shot back "You do not need a shuffle."
Then I came home to a Valentine's present and I could not figure out what could possibly be in the bag. Jonathan let me open it a day early, and to my surprise there was a cute little silver shuffle in that bag. I am in love with it! I haven't actually used it yet, because I have been trying to combine all my music from an old computer and work computer on to our new computer so I have one giant music library. But I have held it and stared at it a lot - it is so cute - he's just a little guy!
Good job husband!

hey hey...let's drink diet coke
They just changed the Pepsi machine to a Coke machine. What more could a girl ask for? I have done so good at giving Diet Coke and drinking only one a week, but that is all about to come to an end...with the liquid heaven machine now in our office.
